Concrete Resistivity

Resistivity is bulk resistance, the amount of resistance for a given volume of material in kΩcm. A current is applied across two probes, and two other probes record Voltage change, from which the Resistivity is calculated.

Principle of Operation

The principle is known as the Wenner Probe method.

Resistivity Measurement, Resistivity Meter, Concrete Resistivity, resipod, concrete resistivity test

A current is applied to the two outer probes, and the potential difference is measured between the two inner probes. The current is carried by ions in the pore liquid. The calculated resistivity depends on the spacing of the probes.
