The AIV apparatus is designed to determine the Aggregate Impact Value of aggregates, which provides a relative measure of the resistance of an aggregate to sudden shock or impact.
The number of blows delivered to the sample is automatically documented by the counter that is fitted to the machine. The counter is made of heavy duty plated steel which is resistant to corrosion.
